Our beautiful new building is continuing to look amazing and the renovation crew is working hard! Unfortunately life here without the beach is really strange…so beautiful and so tempting. The County Commissioners closed on the beaches on Saturday morning because of the COVID-19 pandemic, that ordinance has turned this place into a ghost town. The COVID-19 pandemic has proven to be an opponent that has disrupted lives in so many ways. The fight to stop the spread has caused so many lifestyle changes, parents and kids that had planned their spring break trips to paradise, this was not what they had in mind! We have about 13 guests that got here prior to the beach closing and are having a great time even with the circumstances. The uncertainty is really tough on everyone. Here at the Nautilus we had to shut down our rental program and temporarily trim our staff for the month of April. We hope and pray that by the end of April this virus will be contained and controlled, our beautiful beaches will open back up, and we can return to some a version of normalcy. Life is forever changed for all of us. The limited staff we still have on hand is working hard to sanitize the public areas and keep everyone that is here healthy. On a brighter note…our pool is amazing!!! Had the pleasure of sitting out yesterday with families from St Louis, Indiana, and Minnesota — the die hard guests that are loving the fact they have the pool to themselves. Yes, the beach would be great, but we set up corn hole boards and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon pool side! I hope that everyone that was going to come in April can come at a later date to enjoy not only the beautiful beaches, but the stunning updated Nautilus……#Nautiluslife
